Champions League 2026 Moved to October After Calendar Change

The European Judo Union has confirmed a new competition date for Champions League 2026. The event will now take place on 24 October 2026, with clubs, athletes and stakeholders asked to update their plans.

According to the EJU, the change was made because of the scheduling of the IJF Masters in Dushanbe. The adjustment is intended to create the best possible conditions and participation opportunities for both athletes and teams.

It is a practical update, but an important one. For clubs building their season and for athletes managing a demanding international calendar, even a single date change can have a real impact on preparation, travel and team planning.

The new date for Champions League 2026 is 24 October 2026.

The EJU’s message is clear: this move is about protecting access and giving competitors the best chance to be part of the event. In a sport where timing matters on and off the tatami, that kind of coordination can make a difference.

No other competition details were announced in the update. For now, the key point is simple: Champions League 2026 has a new place in the calendar, and everyone involved is being asked to adjust accordingly.

The EJU also thanked all participating parties for their understanding and cooperation. With the new date now set, attention can shift back to preparation for one of Europe’s notable club events in 2026.
